The surfaces feel minimally roughened or velvety, and there are considerably fewer issues with fingerprints than in previous ThinkPad models.
The stability of the base unit is good, but not exceptional. The center keyboard area can be visibly pressed in with a little force, but this doesn’t affect performance, even for energetic typists. Slight creaking noises were heard when subjecting the base unit to torsional stress. The two hinges provide excellent stability, preventing the screen from teetering. However, they are quite tight, making it difficult to change the opening angle or open the lid with one hand. The stability of the lid is superb, with no bending or creaking noises even when applying selective pressure on the back.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 features a 14-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS (In-Plane Switching) display with WUXGA (Wide Ultra Extended Graphics Array) resolution.
